The RUH Youth Sports Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization independent of  Rice University and the University of Houston, coached by student athletes and alumni from both universities.  Our aim is to promote hard work and inspire learning in a safe, fun environment for boys and girls ages 8-16 yrs.

Come be a part of the only AAU team in Texas that provides COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS!!!   We offer Elite level coaching & college recruitment resources at the lowest costs possible.  Teams compete in 5-on-5 AAU basketball tournaments all around Texas in cities including Houston, Galveston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio with one out of state tournament (fundraising contingent).  Tryouts take place in mid-late February, and the season runs until late August with an awards ceremony each season. 

Teams are formed based on the number of players that tryout for a particular age group.  There are no coed teams.  Team rosters consist of up to 15 players: 5 starters, 7 backups and 3 reserve players. For 5-on-5 there is a 12 player travel roster. Reserve players may be developmental talent or talented players that can move up to the traveling (competing) roster by challenging a backup or starting player.

All team fees vary season to season and are nonrefundable, no exceptions.
